These are all the trends for your hair that Tik Tok has already made viral

1. Strengthen a visual identity

Having a brand’s own visual identity is essential to generate recognition. Finding a filter that can be used in all publications helps to unify content and generate brand identity. Nowadays it is increasingly difficult to stand out on social networks, that is why it is important to make a difference with every detail.

For photos, I recommend accompanying the publications with applications such as VSCO or and Snapseed. For videos, I recommend VSCO in its premium version or InShot in its free version.

2. The key to success is in the first moments

When a user enters the profile of a brand in a few seconds, she makes the decision if she wants to see more than the account and know the proposal or if she is not interested. It is important to be able to visualize the content to be uploaded before publishing it, this will allow a pre-profile design and a more effective visual attraction.

3. Take advantage of new opportunities in technology

The form of consumption and needs is similar either on paper or on a screen, the question on the part of a brand is the approach that is given depending on the medium it uses and thus maximizing the benefits that the online medium offers, for example, the use of resources that on paper are not allowed as with movement and sound. Video is the medium that generates the most attraction in virtual consumption today.

4. Establish and respect the ideals of the brand

From the point of view of a brand, it is important to take into account what type of approach you want to give it, what the brand wants to represent: seriousness, closeness, distance, joy, colour, neutrality, etc. Then, in each communication of the brand on social networks, we must be careful that what we publish points to that.

5. Know the platform

Regarding the platform, each one has its own algorithm and it is important to understand how to work on it and then have effective communication.

For example, on Instagram, you have to understand how to maximize all the functions that the application offers.

Stories: Photos and videos of no more than 15 seconds for fast communication.

IGTV: videos of more than a minute and up to an hour. Ideal for interviews, tutorials, or vertical content that lasts longer than stories.

Reels: 15-second looping videos, useful to reach new audiences in an organic way since they are found in a section of the platform where only content from people you are not following is consumed.

6. Take advantage of the functions of each social network

It is important to develop a formula and structure which is then used continuously, in this way it is easier to have coherence in what one communicates. The feed is not used the same as stories, such as IGTV or Reels. Using each feature effectively, in my experience I was able to generate positive changes with a 50% increase in less than 6 months for the brands I work with. Taking advantage of the functions that social networks offer you generate more effective and lasting communication.

7. Learn to adapt

Social networks are in constant motion and is updated every day, one has to be open to changes. Today, TikTok has the most effective algorithm of the moment and the creators have a greater reach on this platform thanks to its use proposal and its video format, something that Instagram dominated a few years ago. TikTok comes to show that multimedia publications with sound and movement give better results than a static image to attract users.
